Poet • Painter

I am here to demonstrate what can happen by side-stepping everyday consciousness to create art—aka channeling or streaming. For me, that means painting and writing pieces that transcend my solo efforts by utilizing guidance from our higher selves and spirits from afar. In early adulthood, a voice burst into my being and guided my hand to speed-write poetry—of all things I had little interest in! Forty years later I’ve crazily amassed 6 poetry trilogies and a collection of abstract oil paintings. In middle age, I look back and see the erratic yet perfectly designed path that is fulfilling my soul’s purpose. I want to share my work with you—as it was always intended to be.

Abstract painting is a way of seeing into new,
organic worlds and expanding our consciousness

through the lens of color, shape and gesture.

What If We Just Listen:

When I was a young adult I began compulsively, speed-writing poems by longhand. I finished my first trilogy of poetry at age 20. Today I am still impelled by voices out there and stream poems in finished form, never rewriting or editing, per instruction. I am still awe-struck by this experience and the resulting 18 poetry books in 6 trilogies. However, counterbalancing my joy and gratitude is also inexplicable fear and deep sorrow—because I still do not fully understand this process—or how to identify as a creative being.

I am currently researching the five poets that died in the year before my birth on 25 October 1963 (cummings, Frost, Plath, WCW, Roethke). It feels like I’m discovering the source of my poetic intuition and why my style was firmly determined with my first poem.
